How to live the Year of Mercy Practical Ideas
The Jubilee Year of Mercy
There are many ways we can respond to the call to live mercy . Here are several ideas:
• | During your Sunday liturgy, listen and pray the Sacred Scriptures, ask God that the power of His Mercy may come in your personal, family and community life. |

• | Make a commitment to avail yourself of God’s Mercy in the great Sacrament of Reconciliation. | ||||||||
• | Get involved locally. Find local organisations that practise mercy by learning about and addressing poverty and the marginalised. |
||||||||
• | Engage your church community. With your parish, use Pope Francis’ prayer for the Jubilee Year to pray, reach out, learn, and act during the year. |
||||||||
• | Commit yourself to regularly praying and reflecting on the “Hail Holy Queen” (Salve Regina), and/or to the prayers of Divine Mercy, and the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday celebrated a week after Easter. |

• | Choose a Psalm verse and pray it daily. Examples:
