“I joined the Hospitality Ministry because of the friendly disposition of the ministry. They came across as a very warm group of people, as though they are one big family which I liked!” – Alycia (left)
How has your experience in the Hospitality Ministry been so far?
G: The ministry is pretty enjoyable and fun with many different duties. I have done almost all the duties and all of them are interesting!
A: My experience has been great so far. Although initially, I was quite lost, my mentor, as well as the other members, were very understanding and patient with me. Under their guidance, I am now quite familiar with the tasks that I need to fulfil as a member of this ministry.
What is the most rewarding part of being in the Hospitality Ministry?
A: I find it rewarding whenever parishioners thank me or smile at me as I help them open the door into the church. Even though these are small gestures, it makes me happy to know that people appreciate my actions. I’ve also learnt how to appreciate the work of those who contribute to the church better.
G: I’m happy that I’m able to make new friends through my duties. I also got a chance to learn how to better serve parishioners and bring smiles people’s faces. I’m also grateful that I got a chance to learn how the Ministry helps in making every Mass and church event a success.
